Jomolhari Base Camp Trek


Jomolhari Base Camp is one of the best trekking trails in the world. The total length of the Jomolhari Base Camp trek is about 4100meters.  It lies in between the border of Yadong country of Tibet China and the Paro district of Bhutan. How difficult is the Jomolhari Base Camp?

It is the initial step of the climber to reach the top of the Jomolhari. It lies in the Himalayan of the country Bhutan. Thus, it is very hard for this trek but the consciousness of this trek is amazing. The highest point of this camp is in the north part. It is 2700 Meters.

 It is very difficult for the Jomolhari Base Camp Trek route because you have to go through the maximum altitude of 15,114 ft, and requires trekkers to have very good physical fitness.

About Jomolhari

Jomolhari is one of the highest mountains of Bhutan. It is also known as chomolhari. This name is derived from the Bhutanese language. People say Jomolhari is the “bride of Mountain Kanchanjunga”. It lies between the border of Yadong country of Tibet China and the Paro district of country Bhutan. The actual height of this mountain is 8900ft above sea level. And the north face rises over 2700 meters above the barren plains.  

According to the locals of that place mountain, Jomolhari is the sacred and home of the Tibetan Buddhist god. That is the reason climbers cannot reach the top of the mountain. The first summit was attained in 1937.
